While the experience has been my own, I feel that you should decide for yourself how much (if any) of the content has any usefulness to your own Reiki work. Many years ago, in the late 1990's, I was asking my
guides when I
would be inspired to write and publish a book. I suppose I was a
bit envious of other Reiki authors I knew. Plus, one of my
students who was clairvoyant had said that I would indeed write a very
good book. Then one day after driving my girls to school, I
stopped
at a nearby coffee place called Max's Deli. As I left the car I
clearly heard
my guide Cypress say in my mind to go back and get a pen and some
paper. I
did so and then went into the cafe. Once I had my coffee and
muffin I sat down and then suddenly I had an overwhelming urge to
write. I began to write chapter heading after chapter heading for
a book. And as I wrote each heading I could sense the complete
content of that chapter, as if I could write it all down now if I could
write fast enough. After about 17 or so headings it all
stopped. But eventually I realised that the book I would write had actually
been in progress since 1996. It wasn't, as I originally thought,
my Reiki manuals. Instead it was my entire web site. It had begun
as articles on Reiki history and techniques, most with free pdf copies
that people could download and share. But eventually it turned
more to sharing my own past Reiki and channeling "Experiences," and my "Notes" and ideas about taking energy work into our daily lives. I understood that by using the web site
this way, my "book" was much more fluid and changeable than a printed
copy could ever be. And in many cases, the "Notes" articles also
come with pdf versions for people to access and share. So in this way,
my "book" is actually a free one and easily accessible. |
