I must admit that there were times when I and Reiki Master friends of mine would seem to go to the limit to explore energy work, and it's effects on us. 

One time in the spring of 2000 comes to mind.  It was the year following Mr. Doi's visit to Vancouver during which my friends (Andy, Tom, Yukio and Yuko) and I held the first of several international conferences for Mr. Hiroshi Doi and others.  During that weekend he told us about the original URR Gakkai attunement methods, what he called reiju, and while he was not permitted to share the current version, he did teach us one he had made up with some of his friends, what he liked to call Gendai Reiju. 

That spring Tom Rigler was back in town to visit and staying at a B and B across teh street from my place.  So I invited a couple of my other master students who had attended the URRI 1999 conference - Jaime and Warren - to come over and meet with Tom and I.  The 4 of us decided we would practice Gendai Reiju on each other.  We paired off with Tom and Jaime working together while Warren would work with me.  Warren hadn't practiced this reiju very much so while I was sitting quietly with my eyes closed, I could hear Tom reminding Warren of the method for the reiju.   Then everything was very quiet.  Suddenly I felt an immense pressure above and around my head.  I opened my eyes and found that the other 3 were each giving me the reiju at the same time, one on each side and one in front.  So I smiled to myself and closed my eyes and just received.

However, when they were finished and the pressure was gone, I discovered that I could not move  a muscle.  I told them this and they were quite surprised.  it took me a couple minutes before I finally could move.    Afterwards the guys thought this was great fun so we had to do the same thing for each of us.  It was just amazing to have so much energy being presented at one time. Each of us found we had little ability to move right after the reiju.

Then I though I would have some more fun with them and said to them "Watch this."   I went into the kitchen and asked Nadya to join us.  She agreed and so I told her what we wanted to do.  She said was agreeable to this experiement.  I had her sit in the chair, and then all 4 of us gave her Gendai Reiju at the same time, one on each side of her.  Afterwards, Nadya opened her eyes, smiled, said that it had felt nice, then thanked us and got up and went back into the kitchen. 

The other guys were just shocked at this. They couldn't believe their eyes, that she could easily handle so much energy and then get right up.   So I explained to them how it was in 1995 when I used to channel for Nadya that I had first learned over her ability with energy.  One day while doing this with her, another of my guides told me in my mind to reach around and feel Nadya's natural energy.  I did so even as I channeled for her, and discovered she had huge natural earth energy with very strong grounding abilities.  They said that Nadya was like a huge sponge when it came to acquiring and holding energies, and that at that time I was no where near being able to fill all that ability, although it would come later on.  They then wanted me to reach around her and copy her grounding abilities to assist me in holding more energies.

And that day in 2000, Nadya innocently proved this to my 3 friends and I.
