I was looking through my bookshelf one night and came across our copy of "Visions of the Ascended Masters" by Kinsley Jarrett. It's a collection of his channelled paintings from around 1990 together with a bit of information on each master. The pictures reminded me of one of my early experiences with guides that left quite an impression on me. I was teaching the second day of a Reiki master level class in the summer of 1995. The class was being held at the home of one of my students, Mrs. Ruth L. Ruth was in her 70's and was quite an amazing person to work with. While we were on a break in the morning, she talked about her channelling experiences, mainly in the area of art and painting. Apparently she had followed some of the works of Janet McClure, who channelled several ascended masters, including one named Vywaymus. I found this interesting as we had a few of McClure's books.

Ruth explained that one day when she set out to paint, she suddenly felt the overwhelming presence of Vywaymus and the urge to paint under his direction. This resulted in a large image of one of the ascended masters (I can't remember which one it was.) She said the painting gave off a lot of energy. I asked if we could see it and so she brought it out. I was mesmerized not only by the energy of the painting but also by the eyes of the master. It was as though the image knew me and the eyes were looking right through me.

I asked Ruth if she had any more like this and she proceeded to bring out about 12 to 15 of the paintings of other masters, all channelled by Vywaymus. Each of them had the same effect with the energy and especially the eyes. She placed them all around the living room, which happened to be where we were holding the class. When I started teaching again I momentarily forgot about the paintings, but suddenly I felt as if many pairs of eyes were watching me. I stopped talking and looked all around me. It was a very eerie feeling. I felt as if I was on stage and my performance was being judged by many teachers, like some kind of review committee.

Looking back, I think this was the first "mass guide" experience for me and a taste of their brand of amusement in working with me. Over the years they have provided me with similar "entertainment:' several times.
